Volunteering

Do you live in the Link6 and RWB area? Could you spare some time to offer transport to a person in need?

Link6 and RWB is always looking for people to support our service as a volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to stay active, meet new people and help vulnerable and isolated residents in your community. Volunteering roles* include drivers, coordinators and committee members.

We can offer you training, an induction and access to our Volunteer Portal with information and guidance to support you in your volunteer role. We will also reimburse volunteer drivers for mileage and travel expenses incurred through their role as a volunteer.

For more information and an informal chat, please get in touch with us by telephone on 07879 394666 or by email:

info@link6andrwb.org.uk

You can also complete a Volunteer Enquiry Form on our website.

*Please note, all prospective volunteers will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Since my wife died, Link6 and RWB has been my reason for getting up in the morning.  It’s my way of saying thank you for all the care she received from the hospice nurses. I love driving and helping people and I know she would have approved!

I took early retirement and wanted to do something useful and satisfying. My mother had received help from Link6 & RWB and both she and I were so grateful.  Everyone was so pleasant and supportive, I thought why not join them and put something back into the community?
