Client Information
Link6 and RWB is a volunteer transport service that offers door to door transport for local people who are unable to access public or private transport. We ask for donations from clients towards the cost of operating our service.
Our Service
We can provide transport to people in the following areas:
Bradenstoke
Broad Town
Bushton
Clyffe Pypard
Lyneham
Tockenham
Royal Wootton Bassett
We take people to local doctors, opticians and dentist appointments. We also travel further afield, taking people to hospital appointments in Bristol, Bath and Swindon. We can offer transport for activities such as lunch clubs, but may need to prioritise essential medical trips depending on volunteer capacity.
If you need transport, please telephone us on 07879 394666. Your call will be answered by a LINK Co-ordinator who will take details of your request and assign it to one of our volunteers. Please leave a message if there is no answer and we will call you back.
We can help with transport to:
Medical Appointments
Lunch Clubs & Social Visits
& Events
What will it cost?
Whatever you can give! There is no set charge for our service, but we do invite clients to make a donation towards the cost of providing the service. Cash or cheque donations can be placed in the envelope given to you by your driver. If you want to make your donation by bank transfer, ask our co-ordinator for details.
A mileage allowance is paid to our volunteer drivers. Ideally donations would cover the cost of the trip at 45p per mile - our Co-ordinator can give you a rough idea of mileage if that would help - but if you cannot afford this, or would like to give more, that is fine. We also have telephone and other administrative expenses. Link6 and RWB could not continue to operate without the donations that we receive from LINK service users.
Call: 07879 394666
Monday to Friday 9am-1pm
You may hear a recorded message but please leave your name and a contact telephone number and we will return your call as soon as we can.
We generally ask for at least 48 hours’ notice, but we do understand that emergencies can happen so if you cannot give the required notice, we will still do our best to help.
Please note, our service is dependent on driver availability and we may need to prioritise medical journeys for the most vulnerable in our community.
Covid-19 Information
Whilst Government Covid-19 mandates have now come to an end in England, Link6 and RWB remains cautious to protect volunteers and the most vulnerable in our community.
Volunteer drivers will continue to wear a mask on all journeys, we also request that clients continue wear a face covering and practise good hand hygiene. We are no longer asking clients to travel in the rear of cars.
